'Kuta of Carrick' is based in a modern marina in Carrickfergus, one of Ireland's
oldest towns. Built in 1985 the marina is home to a flotilla of yachts from around Europe. Surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels this is an ideal place to start your NI cruising or sailing experience. Views across the Lough and out towards the Irish Sea are magnificent.
Carrickfergus Castle dates back to 1210 when the notorious King John laid siege to it and took control of what was then Ulster's premier strategic garrison making Carrickfergus a more important land mark than Belfast in those datys. The old gasworks date back to 1855 and St Nicholas’ 12th century church is also well worth a visit. A short distance out of town is the Andrew Jackson Centre, which confirms the strong Ulster American link.
Carrickfergus is in close proximity (30 mins) to Belfast International and George Best airports, and a short distance from regular ferry services to Scotland and England. There are regular bus and train services to and from Belfast.
